GRRR Village Canine Rescue

Lifetime Care for Your Dog
"Ahhhh... Another
delightful Day at
Grrr Village! "
ENDOWMENT DOG PROGRAM
The Grrr Village Endowment Dog Program allows owners to
provide for the lifetime care of their dog in the event the dog
outlives the owner or their owner is no longer able to care for
the dog.  All Grrr Village Endowment Dogs are provided
climate-controlled living quarters with doggie doors to the
outside.  They are, as are all of our doggy residents, given
daily playtime, taken on walks, and of course lifetime
veterinary care.  The owner must provide a minimum $5,000
fee which is used to pay for the lifetime care of their dog.
Please note this fee is not tax-deductible under the law. The
Endowment Program provides dog owners the peace of mind
of ensuring that their dog is given the same loving daily
attention to which they are accustomed.

Program and our contractual provisions outlining how we will

IMPORTANT!! Choosing a Lifetime Care Facility for your Pet:
Whether or not you choose Grrr Village for lifetime care for your beloved pet, we would like to give
you some important considerations on choosing the RIGHT lifetime care pet facility:

First, and most importantly, thoroughly evaluate the organization.  Do not rely on the website
alone.  Talk at length to the caregivers that are on site, and check around to get a list of different
organizations that offer lifetime pet care.  When you do select a program,
VISIT THE FACILITY
before making your final decision.  When you visit, carefully look at the animal residents there.  Are
they clean, well groomed, healthy, comfortable and happy?  Do they all have toys to play with?
Are the grounds well kept, clean and mowed?

Is your pet going to live
outside for the remainder of his/her life? In what type living quarters will
your pet be housed?  An outdoor kennel, or a climate controlled area?

Quite importantly:
How many animals are housed at the facility? What is the ratio of humans to
pets? Will your pet receive adequate attention, love, exercise, grooming and socialization with
people and other pets?  Will you receive frequent pictures and updates on your pet?

What type food will your pet receive? Is there a provision for special diets?  Is the pet food of high
quality and consistent brand? (For instance, at Grrr Village our lifetime dogs receive Purina Pro
Plan exclusively).

Will you be able to sign a contract that outlines exactly how your pet is cared for?  These are just
some considerations to ensure your pet is as loved and well-cared for as you would want!
SIMON - slated to be euthanized
because he was not a "fun dog"
He was simply a traumatized
and completely terrified
chihahua. As you can probably
see, once he came here (where
he will live out his life)Simon has
come out of his shell. Simon is
one of our most VOCAL
residents and does a "Happy
Dance"  (A little choppy hopping
circle that I need to put on
YouTube, actually!   :)
LULU - a most beautiful
and happy Briard, will be
living here at Grrr as a
permanent resident.
Lulu LOVES her people,
but is overly protective,
and cannot be in contact
with strangers. Here at
Grrr she is among
friends and she (and
strangers) are safe.
Briards are a large
French herding breed,
not often seen except in
dog shows. She is an
exceptional girl who we
are so pleased to have
with us!
Mr. "X" - In the "Doggie Witness Protection
anonymous, joined Grrr Village as a lifetime
resident. He is happy, he plays in a 5 acre
pasture all day and sleeps on a couch all night,
and his former owner is delighted to have found
that Grrr Village DOES take some dogs with a
dubious past (who can be rehabilitated). That is
what our endowment program is for. We can
offer safety and love for life when owners are
no longer able to care for their pets.
